This week's federal contracts, deals and bankruptcy filings involving Maryland businesses include the following:

CMI Group of Charlotte Hall won $2.64 million from the General Services Administration to lease office space.
Cresston Compant, dba Compass Languages of Crofton, won $28,800 from the Defense Logistics Agency for American sign-language interpretation services.
Digicon of Rockville won $279,679 from the National Institutes of Health for bar-coding system personal digital assistants and label printers under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
Easco Hand Tools of Sparks won $3.09 million from the Army for sets, kits and outfits of hand tools.
Fascan International of Baltimore won $52,035 from the Defense Logistics Agency for hose, pipe, tube fittings and specialties.
Goldsborough Inc. of Crisfield won $44,795 from the Fish and Wildlife Service for a boat, motor and trailer.
Indivumed of Kensington won $38,000 from the National Institutes of Health for clinically annotated bio-specimens under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
Meltech/W.M. Schlosser B Joint Venture of Landover won $1.51 million from the Army for interior repairs under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
Ross Technologies of Columbia won $18.01 million from the Army for information technology support and services.
Standard Restoration & Waterproofing of Forestville won $54,200 from the Department of the Interior to repair water-damaged parapet walls under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
Thales Communications of Clarksburg won $315,000 from the Air Force to repair communication modules and $199,290 from the Defense Logistics Agency for special cable assemblies.
Whiting-Turner Contracting of Baltimore won $8.25 million from the General Services Administration for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and lighting replacement under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

DEALS
Gamers Factory of Hunt Valley, which provides trading services and technology for the used-video-game market, completed a public stock swap with City Language Exchange along with the closing of a private placement of $3.9 million. The combined company operates under the name Game Trading Technologies, assumes the Gamers Factory business plan as its sole business and began trading on the OTC Bulletin Board. The company reported a profit of $1.7 million last year, up from $325,499 in 2008, as revenues grew to $36.7 million from $17 million.
Catalyst Rx of Rockville was selected by the Louisiana Office of Group Benefits to provide pharmacy benefit management services to about 225,000 members.
PROPERTY
LaSalle Hotel Properties of Bethesda acquired the 237-room Sofitel Washington, D.C., Lafayette Square for $95.0 million.
