Thank you for column on whiteness

Thank you to Van Caldwell for addressing a subject that hides in plain sight [‘‘‘Whiteness’ overlooked in history discussions,” Commentary Feb. 1]. America does not want to address the issue of its institutional support of white supremacy that continues to rule over all avenues of social intercourse in this nation and the world. The Nazis learned a thing or two from America’s system of apartheid. And, this country was complicit with the white government of South Africa for oh so many years. Thanks again.
