Open Forum: Offended by whiteness commentary

What was Van Caldwell trying to prove with his factually debatable and incredibly racist [commentary], which appeared in the Feb. 1 Gazette [‘‘Whiteness overlooked in history discussion”]? I’m at a loss for words, other than to say I found it extremely offensive.
