Another surprise!

To everyone's amazement, the Frederick Board of County Commissioners is eliminating positions in the building department.

First, it was the fire marshal position and now the building department. (Yes, the building department did need some adjustments, but ...).

If I were one who believed in conspiracies, I would surely think there's something sinister afoot. Not to worry; certainly developers and builders can be trusted to do things completely on the up and up without much in the way of oversight.

Unfortunately, only a few first responders — career and volunteer — understand these actions will affect them in time, too. Taxpayers of all kinds will come to understand these maneuvers will cost us all in coming years.
