12:23 a.m., DUI/DWI Arrest. 7500 block of Greenbelt Road. Kevin Kaveh Mazhari, 34, of the 1000 block of Rockville Pike in Rockville, was arrested and released for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while intoxicated by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trials.

Robberies
Jan. 22
900 block of Washington Boulevard. A Laurel man reported to police that he was robbed by two females as he was walking home. The victim had been drinking alcohol when he was pushed to the ground by a suspect while the other suspect took his wallet from his pants and removed money. Police have suspect information and the investigation is continuing.
Jan. 29
500 block of Main Street. Police are investigating an armed robbery of the High's Store. A man entered the store and asks for change then indicated he had a handgun and demanded money from the cash register. Once the suspect took the money from the register he fled on foot towards Fifth Street. No one was injured. The suspect is described a black male, 30s, 170 lbs, 5'10", wearing a black bomber type jacket with a black hood, black pants and possibly armed with a handgun.
