Nine charged in federal drug conspiracy

A federal grand jury in Greenbelt has indicted nine people suspected of running a drug ring primarily in Montgomery County that made over $2 million in six months of sales. The indictment was handed down on Jan. 23, but unsealed Thursday.
The nine were charged with one count each of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine. If convicted, they face a maximum penalty of life in prison and a $4 million fine.
Charged were:
*Darrin Antoine Chase, 37, of Brandywine
*Kevin Bernard Minor, 46, of Gaithersburg
*Kenneth Cortez Minor, 44, of Washington, D.C.
*Keith Eugene Campbell, 36, of Rockville
*Keisha Shaunic Johnson, 31, of Rockville
*Troy Otis Gray, 37, of Frederick
*Jerrod Darnel Clanton, 34, of Washington, D.C.
*Eric Edward Ring, 35, of Rockville
*Brandon O'Neill Hall, 33, of Gaithersburg.
The indictment also asks for the forfeiture of $2 million worth of cash and property bought with proceeds from the drug sales, including three vehicles, and five residences:

*542 Ellison Court, Frederick
*8327 Crooked Pine Court, Gaithersburg
* 8204 Owens Way, Brandywine
*101 Cavenrock Court, Frederick.
The indictments arose from investigations by the Drug Enforcement Agency and Montgomery County Police.
