Save Seven Locks ES
June 15, 2004

The Seven Locks Elementary School third grade community project was to raise $3,000 to save the Canal Clipper so the kids could ride the Clipper on the canal. They raised the $3,000.

They did it thanks to support from the wonderful folks that make up our community.

There is a message to this story because now we have to save Seven Locks ES. The kids of Seven Locks did not do this good deed on behalf of some school on Kendale -- wherever that is. They did it for Seven Locks School on Seven Locks Road -- where it belongs.

There is a proposal afoot to move Seven Locks School to Kendale Road. Did a single Seven Locker vote for this proposal? No. The kids know where Seven Locks School belongs -- on Seven Locks Road where it has been from the beginning, 40 years ago. They know that moving the school will destroy two neighborhoods and their school.

Do you know where your County Council or school board members stand on this issue? Vote with your vote. Vote to save Seven Locks ES. Learn more at www.save7locksschool.org.
