The Prince George's County Youth Coaches Association all-star football games for Boys and Girls Club AA teams were postponed last Sunday due to uncertain weather conditions.

All-star rosters

Below are rosters for the AAA National League football teams that participated in the Boys and Girls Club all-star games last weekend at Prince George's Sports Park. Additional rosters appeared in the Dec. 11 editions of The Star. The AAA National League rosters were not available at last week's press time.

Clinton club off to fast start

The Clinton Track Club, a USATF and AAU member, is off to a solid start this winter. The club participated in its first indoor track meet of the season Dec. 7 at the Sportsplex Track Showcase Indoor All-Comers meet at the Sports and Learning Complex in Landover.

Michael Guion of Waldorf placed sixth in the long jump for the U-8 age group.

Terrance Jordan of Clinton placed fifth in the 200-meter run, fourth in the 55-meter sprint and fourth in the 400-meter run for the 11 and 12 age group.

Richard Battle of Clinton placed fifth in the 400-meter run and third in the 55-meter sprint for the 9 and 10 age group.

Devonte' Williams of Temple Hills finished sixth in the 400-meter run, third in the 55-meter sprint and fourth in the 200-meter run for the U-8 age group. Jocelyn Proctor of Waldorf took fourth in the 55-meter spring for the 9 and 10 age group.

Keishawna Proctor of Waldorf placed fifth in the 800-meter race walk, fourth in the 200-meter run and sixth in the 55-meter sprint for the 13 and 14 age group.

The Clinton Track Club will participate in the upcoming USATF and AAU sponsored indoor track meets for the 2003-04 season. The club practices from 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays at Gwynn Park High School, 13800 Brandywine Road in Brandywine. For information call coach Larry Carter at 301-292-9129.

All-Starz seek cheerleaders

Spirit Elite All-Starz is recruiting 1st thru 4th graders until Dec. 31. Experience is necessary. If interested, call the gym at 301-297-5515.

NCSA plans indoor league

A new indoor 5 vs. 5 Prince George's Soccer League, using a low-bounce ball, managed by Northern County Soccer Alliance (NCSA) is scheduled to start Jan. 6 at the Salvation Army in Edmonston.

The high school and U-13 age groups will play from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. There will also be U-10 and U-7 age groups playing from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Fridays. All teams must have a minimum of seven players and a maximum of nine players at a price of $250 per team. Individual players may register for $50 and will be placed on a team.
